Historical Study of Catholic Psychology
An
excellent article by my friend William McVey on the historical study of Catholic
psychology. The title of his article is: “Aristotelian-Thomistic Teleological
Behavioral Psychology Reconstruction,” Studia
Gilsoniana 7, no 2 (April-June 2018): 201-236

Philosophia Perennis - Natural Wisdom of the Ages
“Philosophia Perennis
Is also known as Greek philosophy in its earlier period and scholastic
philosophy in its medieval development Philosophia
is Latin for philosophy and Perennis
is Latin for ‘through the ages.’ It is the natural wisdom of the ages that came
down to us from the pagan Greeks and was refined by the supernatural wisdom of Revelation.”

Bishop Barron on Saint Thomas Aquinas' Writing.
Fascinating. From May
9, 2011. We desperately need to follow
the example of St. Thomas Aquinas.

Fifth Annual Aquinas Leadership International World Congress
Seminary of the Immaculate Conception, Huntington, NY. July 20, 2018 to July 22, 2018
Another wonderful congress. It is always great to be in the company of the best minds in Classical, Medieval, and Renaissance philosophy.
The conference theme, "Artificial Intelligence and the Futures of Philosophy, Global Leadership, and World Peace" was brilliant and enlightening. It brought speakers together from academia, industry, and government to discuss how society should move forward with the advance of AI.
Should we fear or embrace AI? Conference participants grappled with this issue in addition to discussing the consequences of an untethered AI to common moral principles. I suggested that philosophers and scientists make a concerted effort to discuss how to go about this and we will continue to discuss this topic at next year's Aquinas Leadership conference.
